Urgent Traffic Control Notice for Inner Circular Road at Jeongneung Overpass!

The Jeongneung Overpass on the Inner Circular Road will be Under Traffic Control for 30 Days Starting from the 22nd!

The Seoul city, in conjunction with the Korea Infrastructure Safety Corporation (under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport), has conducted a joint emergency inspection of the section of the Jeongneung Overpass on the Inner Circular Road due to the thawing season. Significant defects have been identified in this section, and in accordance with relevant laws, it will be temporarily controlled for 30 days.

Traffic Control Details

– From 0:00 on the 22nd, the Jeongneung Overpass will be fully controlled in both directions, covering a distance of 7.5km.

– For traffic heading towards Seong-san, the control will start from the Seongdong Interchange (Dongbu Expressway → Inner Circular Road) to the Gileum Ramp section.

– For traffic heading towards Seong-su, the control will start from the Northern Circular Road Intersection of the Inner Circular Road to the Sageun Ramp section.

– Please use nearby arterial roads or detour as necessary due to the full control.

Route Adjustment for Vehicles

– From 0:00 on the 22nd, vehicles passing through the existing mainline of the Inner Circular Road are advised to use alternative highways such as Gangbyeon Northern Road, Olympic Expressway, Northern Expressway, or Dongbu Expressway. Vehicles entering or exiting the ramps are encouraged to use nearby ramps or arterial roads.

Public Transportation Arrangements

– Increase in frequency of public transportation passing through the affected section:

  – Extension of service hours for Subway Lines 1, 4, and 6 by one hour during peak commuting hours (07:00-10:00, 18:00-21:00), with an additional 16 trips per day.

  – Increase in the frequency of 11 nearby bus routes by 13 vehicles, resulting in 90 additional trips per day.
